Panaewa Stampede Rodeo, The Official Rodeo of Hilo, Hawaii

East Hawaii Island is home to our rodeo which brings conestants from the ranching community and spectators of our general public together for this exciting two day event filled with wonderful shows, vendors and people both local and tourist are attracted to this special annual event featuring Po’o Wai U a favorite paniolo steer capturing technique, and popular sports such as cattle roping, double mugging, and bull riding, along with many other thrilling, fast paced shows, all throughout the President’s Day weekend. Find out more.

The newly dedicated arena in honor of our Panaewa Stampede Rodeo Founder, Uncle Al Cabral, has ample seating and parking inside the Panaewa Equestrian Center.
