Easter Series: Make Easter’s Victory Yours

March 28, 2024

Transcript: The celebration of Easter’s about God fulfilling His Redemption Promise. Easter’s not a freestanding or initiating event. It’s a confirming event. I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors network and an Easter Stand in the Gap minute. While Easter’s a witness of God’s Power over death and Sin, a fulfillment of his promise of redemption, proof of His victory over Satan, it’s also an historical event. Proven and witnessed by hundreds, the power of Easter is also very personal because it was Christ’s willing death on the cross to shed His blood to pay a debt He didn’t owe and pay our debt of sin, we could never pay. Easter is a fact. It happened. Jesus died. He rose from the dead. He paid our debt. But have you accepted His payment for your debt of sin? Have you through faith in Him become a child of God, restored in relationship to your Creator God? Would you this Easter make sure? Visit us at American Pastors Network dot net.

Easter Series: A Matter of Life or Death

March 27, 2024

Transcript: Hello and welcome to another Easter Stand in the gap Minute. I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network. 2000 years ago, Jesus the Promised Messiah Redeemer entered Jerusalem riding on a borrowed donkey. The crowds shouted, Hosanna – blessed is the king of Israel who comes in the name of the Lord. But, the envious Pharisees said, ‘the world’s gone after him’ and they plotted His murder. This Easter week is all about the promised Redeemer – His promised coming, His prophesied Death, and His prophesied resurrection. Jesus - the sacrificial Lamb of God -gave His life to pay a debt of sin He never owed because we had a debt of sin we could never pay. But as it’s always been, so it is today. Some by faith alone accept Jesus as Savior and receive eternal life. Others reject Him and sadly choose eternal death. It is truly a matter of life or death. Will you join with us at Stand in the Gap Radio and TV and choose life? Partner with us at American Pastors Network dot net.

Easter Series: Promise Fulfilled

March 26, 2024

Transcript: Easter's about God’s plan of redemption and His victory over sin and death. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. God’s promise to crush Satan’s head continued with God’s promise to Abraham of a Promised Redeemer through a Promised people. Through time, Satan tried to destroy the lineage through whom the Redeemer would come. He led Pharaoh in Egypt to kill the young males and Herod to kill all baby boys under 2. On the Mount, he tempted Jesus to avoid the Cross and destroy God’s redemption Plan. But, the Devil could not trick Him, Kings could not kill him, and haters of Israel could not destroy God’s plan. Easter’s about the Power of God, His hatred of sin and His great love for undeserving mankind. Would you join with us at Stand in the Gap Radio and TV and thank God for fulfilling His Plan of a Promised Redeemer? Stand with us at American Pastors Network dot net.

Easter Series: Planned from the Beginning

March 25, 2024

Transcript: This is Easter week, the most sacred of all Christian holidays. But, why’s it so special? I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap minute. Easter’s about God’s plan for the ages, humans created in His image, the reality of Sin, Satan, and rebellion, God’s wrath and justice against sin, and His Plan of Redemption. Early in Genesis, God promised that one day His heal would be bruised, but the head of Satan would be crushed. Christ’s crucifixion and death on the cross bruised God’s heal but His resurrection crushed Satan’s head confirming His victory over sin and death. Christ’s blood paid the debt of mankind’s sins and fulfilled God’s demand for justice providing salvation for all mankind. All those putting their trust in the Risen Savior, the Promised Redeemer, receive eternal life. Living as victorious conquerors through Him who loved us and gave Himself for us results for those living obediently. Join with us this Easter in thanking God for Redemption. Don’t Be Deceived Series: The Solution to Deception

March 22, 2024

Transcript: A weapon is only good if you use it when it is needed. In battle, even the best weapons will not help you win unless you use them. The same is true with the spiritual armor of God. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. This week, we’ve looked at the spiritual deception we face, AND the solution to it. God has given us His Word and His armor to make us victorious. He has also given us prayer, which allows up to directly communicate with the most powerful Being in the universe. But unless we rely on God’s Spirit and His Scriptures to help, we will grow weary fighting in our own strength. The solution to the spiritual battles and deceptions we face is not to try harder, but to look upward. God’s power is our solution to spiritual deception and the challenges we face. Don’t Be Deceived Series: Guarding Against Deception

March 21, 2024

Transcript: Various awareness campaigns have helped our society become more familiar with many issues, ranging from cancer to helping children in need or assisting persecuted Christians. But did you know we also have a need for increased awareness regarding the spiritual deception we face? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. In Ephesians 6, the apostle Paul discusses the “spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” we face on a daily basis. Our battles include more than we see with our eyes. To succeed in our walk with God, we must rely on His spiritual armor to guard against deception. When we do, Scripture says we will “stand firm” against the devil and his schemes. If you’re struggling against temptation or deception today, the resources are there to give you victory. Put on the full armor of God, and guard against the deceptions you face. Don’t Be Deceived Series: Truth vs. Deception

March 20, 2024

Transcript: A recent development in our media age is the role of fact checkers. Today, certain individual decide whether a claim is true or false, but how does a fact checker evaluate beliefs? The results can be biased, depending on the foundation used for the answer. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. For the believer, the Bible is the standard we use to check facts. Proverbs 30:5 says, “Every word of God proves true.” God’s Word is perfect because it is God-breathed, an extension of God Himself. The way to avoid deception in today’s world is not by relying on human fact checkers, but rather on studying Scripture. God’s Word is the final authority, not an algorithm or editor. If you’re uncertain about a decision, look to the Bible for help. His Word endures forever. Scripture says you are blessed by meditating on it day and night. Don’t Be Deceived Series: The Devil as Deceiver

March 19, 2024

Transcript: Two young children were once overheard after leaving their class at church. “Do you really believe that stuff about the devil?” one child asked. The other child replied, “No, I think it’s like Santa Claus. It’s really your dad!” Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. The Bible’s teaching about the devil is true, but we can easily be deceived into not believing it. In John 8:44, Jesus called the devil a liar and the father of lies. He knew Satan’s agenda is filled with deception. The devil will either twist the truth, deny the truth, or change the truth in tempting us. He can also fool us into believing he does not exist so that we don’t need to worry about him. At other times, he may pretend to be all-powerful. We must be aware of his deception to stand firm in our walk with God. Discover more at American Pastors Network dot net.

Don’t Be Deceived Series: False Prophets

March 18, 2024

Transcript: Reality shows like “America’s Got Talent” often include performers whose magic tricks can fool even the most observant people. Performers call it sleight of hand, but there is another “trick” we face spiritually -- the problem Jesus warned about regarding false prophets. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. In Matthew 24:11, Jesus taught that “many false prophets will arise and lead many astray.” His words are certainly true in our time. The emphasis on “many” can be easily found in today’s ministries, where numerous examples can be found. But we must also be aware of more subtle deceptions that include any teaching that is inconsistent with the Word of God. To stay focused in our faith includes remaining accurate in how we understand and apply spiritual truth. When we make Scripture our standard, we can guard against the sleight of hand found by today’s false prophets. Discover more at American Pastors Network dot net.

Walking with God Series: The Genuine Walk

March 15, 2024

Transcript: This week we’ve considered the genuine Christian walk. How’s your walk? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. Is your walk genuine and pleasing to God? Is it identifiable by both the world and the true Believers? Our walk should be with God, like Enoch. That’s  a personal walk. Our walk should be by faith not sight. That’s a purposeful walk where our focus is above faith. Our walk should be in the Spirit. That’s a powerful walk. Our walk should be in the light. That’s  a walk marked by holiness, obedient, living in the light of God’s Word, and reflecting Jesus who is the Light. The true Christian walk should be so contrasted to the darkness, so focused on the eternal that our fellowship with other true believers will be sweet and our love for other so strong the world will take note and want what we have. Does anyone want your walk? Discover more at American Pastors Network dot net.

Walking with God Series: Walking in the Light

March 14, 2024

Transcript: Walking with God, by faith, and in the Spirit are all pleasing to God. In I John 1:7, the Bible also says to ‘walk in the light, as He is in the light. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. While walking in the light is a common metaphor in contemporary Christian culture meaning, acting correctly. The real meaning is much deeper. Because Jesus is the light of the world and light comes from God the Father of lights, light stands in sharp contrast to darkness and evil. To walk in the light means that we consider Jesus as the light, that He truly is our light and that if a true believe, we are to reflect His light by living holy lives in obedience to the Light of His Word. When we walk in this light, we’ll have fellowship one with another. Others, will see the light, and know we are of the light because we love one another. Are you walking in the light? Discover more at American Pastors Network dot net.

Walking with God Series: Walking in the Spirit

March 13, 2024

Transcript: This week we’ve learned to walk with God and to walk by faith not by sight. In, Gal. 5:25 the Bible tells us to also walk in the Spirit. I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. The Christian walk is active, not passive. It’s moving, growing, living. The Christian walk is personal -we are to walk with God. It’s purposeful. We are to walk by faith, not sight. The Christian walk is powerful. We are to walk in the Spirit. Though 95% of Americans self-identify as Christians, they do not walk personally with God but on their own, not by faith but by sight, not in the power of the Holy Spirit but in the power of their own spirit. How a person walks, with whom they walk, where they walk and upon what they focus when they walk makes all the difference if their walk, like Enoch, pleases God. How is your walk today? Discover more at American Pastors Network dot net.

Walking with God Series: Walking by Faith, Not by Sight

March 12, 2024

Transcript: This week I’m talking about the Christian’s walk in life. Yesterday, I talked about Enoch who ‘walked with God’. The apostle Paul in II Cor. 5:7 instructs us to “walk by faith, not sight”. I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. Walking by faith means in part to walk believing in all that God has promised us. While the world tempts us to love what they love and can only see, as a child of God we’re admonished to cherish by faith what we alone can see .. by faith… an eternal heavenly home, an eternal life with Christ, with no sin, no tears, no sorrow. When we walk in this faith believing, we can keep our eyes focused on that which is above and will never pass away, rather than what we can see here but will soon pass away. Walk by faith today. Discover more at American Pastors Network dot net.

Walking with God Series: Walking with God

March 11, 2024

Transcript: This week I’ll talk about walking with God, walking by faith, walking in the Spirit, and walking in the light. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. Gen 5 tells us about Enoch, a man who ‘walked with God’. While others walked in sin, Enoch had a righteous walk. Separate from the world, his friends knew it well. To them, he was out of step. To God, He was right in step. Heb. 11:5 later records that Enoch ‘pleased God’ and so much so, that in a split second, God literally took him from an evil world to a holy heaven. Enoch did not taste death. What a remarkable life journey. While we’ll not likely be translated like Enoch, those of us alive today could be raptured and not taste of death. Now what a thought that is. May we all strive, like Enoch to ‘walk with God’ so that our walk would in every way “please God’. Discover more at American Pastors Network dot net.

America’s Greatest Problems Series: Truth

March 8, 2024

Transcript: This week, we've focused on America’s greatest problems, - pride, ungratefulness, turning God’s blessing to judgment, and broken families. But what’s America’s greatest problem? It’s not the economy or education. It’s the need for truth. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. All problems arise from the lack of knowing and living God’s truth. Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Today, America is being destroyed, not by an opposing army, but from within. The ultimate hope for our nation is not found in government, but in God. As we discover His biblical answers to our problems, we can live in a way that is truly blessed. However, if we operate according to a humanistic and pragmatic worldview, we’ll only face increased judgment. Let’s commit together to change our nation, starting with a personal embracing of God’s truth. Discover more at American Pastors Network dot net.
