MEXICO CITY ITINERARY

DAY ONE

Hello CDMX, we've arrived 💁🏻.

We'll drop our bags, freshen up a bit, and get to know the other ladies on our trip over cocktails at women-owned Sobremesa.

Dinner is coming to us in the form of a cooking class hosted by one of Mexico City’s top women chefs, Mercedes Bernal. We’ll gather in the kitchen to learn how to make some modern Mexican dishes as a group, then we’ll sit down for a fun dinner together.

Lucky us, beauty sleep is only a short stroll away.

Meals included: dinner

DAY TWO

We've got an early wake up call and places to be, like an all-day mercado food crawl led by Mexico City's resident foodie, Anais Martinez. With a focus on supporting female market vendors, she'll make sure you sample everything your heart desires from tacos to pulque. You'll even learn how to make tortillas!

On our Día de Muertos trips, our market day will also include shopping for an altar-making workshop at the end of the trip. Throughout the trip you’ll learn all about the local Día de Muertos traditions and rituals.

You'll have a free evening to do your own thing.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch

DAY THREE

We’ll start our day with a visit to Mariana Villarreal, the owner of popular Mexican jewelry brand Sangre de mi Sangre. Mariana will be giving us a personal tour of her studio, a lesson on precious and semi-precious gemstones, and a crash course in jewelry making. You’ll even get to design your own necklace to take home with you, and shop her private jewelry collection!

Lunch will be served at our friend Regina Velasco’s popular tamales restaurant Tamales Madre. The late afternoon will be yours to explore some of the city’s markets or museums.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch

DAY FOUR

Today we channel our inner Frida Kahlo 👑. We're touring Casa Azul - the Mexican artist's home - with Natalia Zerbato, Mexico City’s ultimate Frida historian. Natalia will be teaching us about Frida's life as we explore her art, clothing, and studio.

We'll also stop at Colorindio, a Mexican textile company owned by our friends Paulina Parlange & Libia Moreno. They'll talk to us about the importance of textiles in Mexican culture and we'll do a little shopping in their private showroom.

Then, back to our hotels to change for cocktails and a final group dinner at one of our favorite women-owned restaurants, Meroma.

Meals included: breakfast, dinner

I have a background in event planning and I was SO impressed/ To this day, I still keep in touch with several women from this trip! To say this was a trip of a lifetime is an understatement, I truly returned feeling inspired, energized and ready to save up for my next WT trip!
— Amanda M.
Wild Terrains showed me the real soul of Mexico City by connecting me with some of the strong women who make up its core. If I could take this trip again and again, I would do it.

In 2023, we’re staying at women-owned Octavia Casa located in the charming Condesa neighborhood of Mexico City. Our group will takeover the entire hotel, so it will be a private space just for us. Your rooms also have luxe amenities like free wifi, Netflix, a Nespresso machine and fancy bath products!

We only allow travelers who know each other to share rooms on our 2023 Mexico City trips, as this hotel only has king size beds that do not separate into two twins.
