EPA DELETED THE BECKMAN INSTRUMENTS SITE FROM SUPERFUND LIST
On March 22, 2022, EPA deleted the Beckman Instruments site in Porterville, California, from EPA’s list of Superfund sites. The soil and groundwater cleanup was completed and no contaminants from the former Beckman electronics plant remain in soil or groundwater at levels that pose a risk to human health or the environment.Background
The 12-acre former Beckman Instruments plant was located at 167 West Poplar Avenue in Porterville, California. The plant was shut down in 2017.
