Planning ahead and strategically using the upcoming long weekends and bank holidays will help you to maximise your holiday time in 2020.
Taking regular breaks helps to improve work-life balance, which benefits your mental and physical health. This translates to more creativity, higher productivity, and better overall job satisfaction. And chances are, you’re overdue for a break! Research shows that 595,000 people in the UK suffered from workplace stress in 2018, and chronic work stress is leading to higher levels of burnout.
A recent study also showed that 40% of UK workers took just half of their annual leave entitlement during 2018, and 13% of Brits only used 20% of their holiday entitlement.
If you’re worried about using up your days off, there are some smart ways you can book leave to make sure you get maximum downtime in exchange for minimal time out of the office.
