HIGH SCHOOL: First team all-state and First Team All-Dade County out of Coral Reef High School in Miami … As a sophomore, named All-Dade Player of the Year, team MVP, hitter of the year, first team all-state, helping lead her squad to the state championship … Earned the hitter of the year award as a junior after hitting .596 with seven home runs and 46 RBI … Tallied a .560 average with 38 stolen bases as a senior, helping her squad to a runner-up finish in the state championships … Named outfielder of the year in 2012 as just a freshman … Also competed in soccer, track and field and gymnastics … Two-time national champion in gymnastics in 2002 and 2003 … Named a U.S. First Team finalist in the 4x400 in 2011, and finished fifth in hurdles.
