We believe that this may well be the first win a home competition in Ireland. The property itself has four bedrooms, fitted kitchen and appliances, fully tiled bathroom and landscaped gardens. Images of the showhome from Meegan Builders (Castleblaney) Ltd are shown on the website.

It's being raffled by St Fechin’s GAA Club in Termonfeckin, Co Louth to raise funds to build a new community centre. To participate you have to register and effectively become a member of St. Fechin’s G.A.A Club for the period of April 1st 2018 to January 1st 2019. The cost of membership is the entry fee.

Cash Prize Alternative

As far as we can tell, there are no questions to complete. No free entry option is available either. It's unclear whether the competition is open to just residents of Ireland or if worldwide entries are accepted. Although the ticket price is high, the 1 in 8000 chance of winning may be tempting to some punters.

If you're outside Ireland then it's worth noting that the winner of the competition can opt to accept the house or take a cash prize of €265,000. Further prizes are on offer as part of the raffle. However, the terms and conditions of the competition don't indicate any course of action if the 8000 tickets aren't sold. Either the promoters are confident of completion or have overlooked this important issue.

Win A Feckin House has become the second 'home competition' to reach conclusion since 2017. The competition hosted a live draw on Facebook and the winner has been announced as Vicky Hanratty from Drogheda. Additional prizes were also awarded.

Despite having a more expensive entry fee Win A Feckin House competition was successful. We wonder whether the house being raffled for a good cause helped?
