Members have the chance to preview A Brush with Beauty: Japanese Paintings in Ink, Color, and Gold first. This exhibition is the grand culmination of Seasons of Japan. The Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields has one of the finest collections of Edo period (1600–1868) Japanese paintings in the United States which will be featured in the exhibition. Alongside this collection, rare masterpieces spanning 700 years of Japanese painting, including signature works by important artists from all the major schools of Japanese painting.
