Grow Healthy

The Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation is helping kids grow healthy through nutrition education and hands-on gardening programs that bring learning to life. In partnership with more than 100 nonprofit organizations, we’re teaching children how to grow and prepare fresh, nutritious foods, and empowering them with the tools they need to develop healthy eating habits that last a lifetime.

Why school gardens?

We know children who grow their own fruits and vegetables tend to eat more fresh produce. And with added cooking instruction, they’ll incorporate more of these healthy eating habits into their everyday lives. But school gardens do more than just grow produce—they support the whole child, benefitting their social, emotional, physical and mental health.

Healthy Communities Grants

The Healthy Communities Grant supports our nonprofit partners in scaling existing programs or launching new programs. By offering multi-year funding, organizations can refine programs elements to better serve their community.

Impact Grants

Our Impact Grant partners reach a large number of students, often across entire cities or multiple states. These organizations are experts in their field and contribute to advancing school garden education through research and resource sharing.

Community

Our commitment to friendly service doesn’t stop at our stores. We pledge to be good neighbors in every community we serve through volunteer work and local event support. Each year, our team members participate in opportunities throughout the year to lend a helping hand and give back to the community.
