About the Author

Michael L. Brown, PhD, is founder and president of AskDrBrown Ministries and president of FIRE School of Ministry. The author of more than thirty-five books, he is also the host of the nationally syndicated daily talk radio show The Line of Fire, as well as the host of shows on GOD TV, NRBTV, and METV. His syndicated columns appear on many leading websites, and his scholarly publications range from biblical commentaries to articles in Semitic journals and theological dictionaries. He has served as an adjunct or visiting professor at seven leading seminaries and has debated gay activists, agnostic professors, and Orthodox rabbis on university campuses.

Michael Brown is a Jewish believer in Jesus (he came to faith in 1971 as a heroin-shooting, LSD-using, hippie rock drummer) and he holds a Ph.D. in Near Eastern Languages and Literatures from New York University. He's written more than 40 books, including wake-up calls to the Church of America, scholarly monographs and commentaries on biblical subjects, a series of volumes on answering Jewish objections to Jesus, and much-discussed books on today's hottest cultural issues. He has spoken throughout America and in more than 30 countries, and he hosts the nationally syndicated, daily talk radio show The Line of Fire. He is the founder and president of FIRE School of Ministry in Concord, NC and serves as a visiting or adjunct professor at a number of seminaries. He and his wife Nancy have been married since 1976 and have two wonderful daughters and four incredible grandchildren. His heart beats to see a gospel-based moral and cultural revolution in this generation.

As an artist, I can really appreciate the way Dr. Michael Brown connects the dots in this eye-opening book. Many of us, as Christians, conservatives, constitutionalists, and concerned citizens are aware of the depravity of the United States in its various forms. But to have someone take all these symptoms: radical feminism, LGBTQ activism, abortionism, pull them out like weeds and trace them back to one root--the spirit of Jezebel--gives you a compelling vision of what we're dealing with and how to overcome.I listened to the book on audio while I painted. Not only was it engaging in the way it was written, but I was amazed at how much evidence Dr. Brown dug up and presented to back his claims. There are terrible things going on in this country you may not even be aware of. I was surprised. Dr. Brown doesn't hide or sugar-coat anything. At certain points, he uses his scholarly knowledge of Hebrew to give additional insights to the meaning of names, and how it relates to Jezebel's demise, literally and figuratively. Dr. Brown is extremely careful to remind us that we are fighting a spiritual battle and we use spiritual weapons, lest anyone use his words to resist Jezebel in an ungodly way.Best of all, was his encouraging exhortations at the end. He not only accurately diagnoses the disease our nation is suffering from, but he provides a prescription on how it can be healed. You will find this book to be interesting, informative, convicting, and inspirational. Dr. Brown paints an incisive portrait of America--with all its flaws, secret sins, and hideousness, and yet at the end unveils a masterpiece of what she can become if she will only reject Jezebel and look to Christ.

Dr Brown not only uses numerous scriptures and references to cite his explanations, but he also has a very intellectually seamless way of stitching all the ‘Jezebelic’ pieces of evidence together in one cohesive fabric. In this book, he lays out the brutal truth of what’s happening in our country today, BUT he doesn’t stop there. Dr Brown encourages all believers, all readers to actively stand in grace and truth. This book provides real, practical ways we can DEFEAT the powerful demonic spirit of Jezebel in our personal lives and in our great nation.

I love and respect Dr Brown’s work and dedication to the Gospel and to the body of Christ. This was the first book of his that I read and it won’t be the last!!!

This book is easy to read and definitely gets the point across. I’m a new believer who was saved from my destructive new age practice in November ‘18 by Jesus. I’m wary of many teachings due to being deceived for so long. Dr. Brown is a breath of fresh air and I’m drawn to his teachings and clear love for the Lord as well as the body of Christ. I read this book because I was intrigued by the title. The author is a pastor, counselor, teacher, writer and speaker. I liked the way he explained his view that many of the problems in the United States have a spiritual basis. He went into detail about Jezebel of the Old Testament, an evil and vengeful woman married to Ahab. Dr. Brown uses the character of Jezebel as both a figurative and literal demonic spirit that has infiltrated our culture. He writes about evils that harm and seek to destroy family and society. Issues such as pornography, child abuse, and people unhappy with their bodies seeking to change their sex through surgery, are some topics explored by the author using biblical and cultural references. Dr. Brown gives real life tools such as prayer, action and educating oneself as methods to fight against the spiritual attacks on our country and families. Although I've read similar books, I thought the author had a unique approach to this topic. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about the cultural crisis in America.

I'm not a charismatic Christian, but I love and respect Dr. Brown's ministry. After listening to him talk about this new release in the Eric Metaxas show, I knew I needed to read it, I was not disappointed.
Even when I do not agree with some things Dr. Brown wrote, they do not interfere with the general theme of the book. It is a biblical and therefore needed message for the church; specially for those of us who have been rescued from immorality and yet feel ashamed of our sinful past to the point of feeling that there is not much that we can do about it. Jesus' salvation and forgivenes, His holy Spirit and truth are able to restore any soul, powerful enough to the point of turning a hidding coward into a fearless warrior of the gospel.

This book turned to be much better than I thought! I must warn the readers there is some heavy content in this book because of the weight of wickedness. This is a great reflection of our American culture today, and how we need to be warned of the schemes of the Devil. Dr. Brown does give great words of encouragement at the end as to how we respond. I learned a lot more that is out there in this world, but I am grateful too that Dr. Brown is fair to point out Trumps flaws and what he does well in. Plus Dr. Brown is careful not to equate certain modern people to be the same as other characters in the Bible. For non-Christians, if you are looking for truth, read this book and let it help you to see who the real enemy is.

I couldn't put this book down! I ended up reading it all the same day it arrived.

Anyone who is concerned about the moral decline of our nation should read this book. I know many people, including myself, are troubled by what we see happening in our country and we are not hearing our church leaders talk about it. Dr. Brown puts it all on the table and presents a well composed argument which is hard to dismiss.

It is an easy read, though the subject matter is not. The facts are very disturbing; some shocking, some sickening, and some utterly heartbreaking.

This book is a wake up call- a must read and a must share!
