Impeachment supporters hold rally in downtown Pensacola

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WEAR) — On the eve of the House vote on impeachment, more than 100 anti-Trump protesters made their voices heard in downtown Pensacola.

Pensacola is one of 600 cities across the country showing support for Wednesday’s impeachment hearings.

Northwest Florida Bipartisan for Impeachment and Removal started its grassroots movement through social media a few months ago.

On the heels of the House vote, supporters for the impeachment of President Donald Trump rallied at the corner of Palafox and Garden Streets on Tuesday.

"If we don't do something to let the president know that his behavior in the instance was wrong - if he gets impeached, it doesn't mean he will be removed - but it will mean as a country we've said you can't do this,” said Betsy Shepherd with the group.

She and other protesters say they will wait and see what happens in the House before determining their next move.
