GREEN BAY - California-based company Alorica will close its Green Bay call center at 301 N. Adams St. by March 31, and 143 people will lose their jobs by Feb. 29.

Alorica communications manager Erica McCarthy released the following statement regarding the location's closure:

As we continue to stay on top of market trends and evolve with our clients’ business needs, we sadly must make changes that sometimes impact our people. We thank each of our departing colleagues for their contributions and we are committed to treating them with respect, as we do all our employees, during this transition.

McCarthy said that depending on the employee's role some employees may be offered a relocation package to Alorica's site in Owensboro, Kentucky, to continue Alorica's business with a specific client.

The relocation package may also apply to Midwestern sites, none of which are in Wisconsin. The number of relocation packages is to be determined.
