HORIZONS: BEETHOVEN + SKYE
Unifying during times of dissonance. Derrick Skye’s multicultural exploration, Prisms, Cycles, Leaps 3, engages in an endless pursuit of connection in order to deconstruct musical and cultural divides. Beethoven’s transitional Symphony No. 4 in E-flat major provides a contrast, celebrating Beethoven’s legacy of breaking musical boundaries.
JIJI + VIVALDI
The second Baroque concert of the season brings together guitarist JIJI and the musicians of LACO to perform masterworks from the Italian Baroque, as well as contemporary music inspired by the era from Caroline Shaw and Max Richter.
