Nana Ama Aya Bullock has been selected for a Fulbright-Fogarty Public Health Fellowship to conduct HIV research in Ghana.

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers research, study and teaching opportunities in more than 140 countries to recent graduates and graduate students. Administered in the U.S. by the Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Fulbright program was established in 1946 to promote international goodwill through education and cultural exchange.

 

Conducting research in Ghana as a Fulbright Scholar is a dream come true. This opportunity is very vital to my dissertation and my professional development as an emerging global health researcher in HIV. Receiving this award is humbling and has provided me with hope for the future."

Collegiate Experience

  • Areas of Study:

    • Expects to graduate in spring 2022 with a doctorate in public health with a concentration in health promotion and behavioral sciences. She also has a master of public health from Michigan State University and a bachelor of science in health education from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
