Robert Root, DO, ABP, is a board-certified pediatrician at MSU Health Care Pediatrics. Dr. Root received his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine where he graduated with honors. He then completed his pediatric residency with the Michigan State University - Sparrow Hospital Residency Program.
In addition to his teaching and clinical duties, Dr. Root holds several leadership roles in MSU Health Care, the Department of Pediatrics and Michigan State University. Dr. Root currently serves as an Associate Chief Medical Officer for MSU Health Care. He also serves as Chair of the MSU Health Care Peer Learning Committee, as a member of MSU's Faculty Senate for the College of Ostepathic Medicine. He is an Assistant Professor and Chair of the Department of Pediatrics Executive Board in the Department of Pediatrics at Michigan State University.
