Accounting Pipeline Diversity Symposium

Feb 13, 2024 · 1 min read

Connect, collaborate, build

The Accounting Pipeline Diversity Symposium (APDS) brings together professionals from across the accounting and finance profession to discuss strategies and best practices for maintaining a strong and diverse talent pool.

Concurrent with our annual Accounting Scholars Leadership Workshop (ASLW) — where more than 100 bright and talented ethnically diverse accounting students will be in attendance — the symposium is a valuable opportunity to inspire the next generation of accounting and finance professionals.

You know there are infinite possibilities for becoming an accounting and finance professional. Join the symposium and share your knowledge.

Benefits of attending the Accounting Pipeline Diversity Symposium

Along with earning Personal Development and Behavioral Ethics CPE credits for attending, benefits include:

  • Collaborating with like-minded professionals who strive to inspire the next generation.

  • Discovering best practices and actionable strategies from diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) subject matter experts.

  • Learning tips for how to retain staff at your firm or organization.

  • Understanding efforts that AICPA & CIMA makes in support of the next generation.

  • Meeting and forming connections with ethnic minority accounting and finance students who could add value to your firm or organization in the near future.

On the first night, we host a reception. To encourage engagement and networking, professionals and students are invited to wear their organization or university’s shirt to easily identify where people work or study.
