Kakuma Sound’s original All-Start Band is teaming up with our Ugandan branch to perform at the one-of-a-kind Nyege Nege Festival taking place in Jinja, Uganda Nov. 9-12. Tickets and more info here.

Ownership of Instruments and Music
This project and any music produced through it, as well as any instruments or equipment obtained through it, will be irrevocably and permanently the property of the residents of Kakuma camp, held in trust through a CBO (Community Business Organization) established to represent its interests related to the instruments and the Kakuma Sound project. All arrangements with any agencies or NGOs will be done with and through that CBO and any revenue or donation-sharing or administrative costs will be paid to outside agencies only on terms agreed to and signed by the CBO. Regular accounting of all funds raised and disbursed will be mandated for all sides as part of any agreement and will be made publicly available on the organizations’ websites.
