Help With Rescue Ponies and Orphan Foals vet bills

We need urgently need your help!

we have recently taken in 7 abandoned colts/stallions and 2 orphan foals. We urgently need help to cover our vet bills.

We have recently taken in a group of 4 stallions/colts. They were found wondering along a busy 'A' road in South Wales and sadly nobody came forward to claim them. We are pleased that we have been able to give these sweet ponies the chance of a happy, safe and secure future. But, we really need your help with the cost of rehabilitation. Lluest Horse and Pony Trust are in our 39th year and heavily reliant on donations to continue our work rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming horses, ponies and donkeys that have been abandoned, neglected or the victims or poor circumstances.

One of the ponies arrived with a head collar on and is friendly and happy to be caught, led and have a little groom. The other 2 cobs are more nervous and will follow the lead of the more confident boy, we still can't touch them but the grey is growing in confidence, he is happy to come over investigate us and have a sniff. We gained the Shetland's trust the same day he arrived and he will be caught, led and groomed.

Their rehabilitation journey has started, they will go through quarantine, which not only includes blood tests, worm egg counts and treatment for parasites but lots of disinfectant and washing PPE. Soon they will also be booked in for microchips, castrations, dentals, vaccinations and farriery.

Throughout their rehabilitation journey the boys will receive expert training and handling in preparation for finding their forever homes through our Guardianship scheme.

The arrival of these new rescues coincided with some recent high expected and unexpected bills, one of those being our borehole pump needing to be replaced.
