Programs that extend Ravinia’s REACH and bring the joy of music to thousands throughout the Chicago area

Guest Artists in the Classroom sparks the love of music and introduces 6,000 students in Cook and Lake Counties to live classical music, performed in their schools by eminent ensembles and solo artists.

Opportunity Lawn Pass Program partners with 150 social service agencies and every public library in Chicago and its north and south suburbs to provide over 10,000 Ravinia tickets to people otherwise unable to attend concerts.

KidsLawn provides 1,000 children and parents at Ravinia concerts a creative space to explore music-making together on large-scale sculptural percussion instruments and in special interactive events such as instrument petting zoos, sing-alongs, storytelling, and musical crafts.

Classical Invitations welcomes 13 community music schools to fortify their students’ learning by providing 1,500 free reserved seats for students and their families at Ravinia Chicago Symphony Orchestra concerts. In addition, music students are invited to free Ravinia Steans Music Institute concerts and masterclasses.

District 112 Partnership presents workshops and performances for 800 elementary and middle school students in Ravinia’s neighborhood to raise awareness of varied music styles and provides 600 classical concert passes to students and families of Highland Park and Highwood schools.

One Score, One Chicago promotes the enjoyment and community discussion of an annually selected piece or composer of classical music for community members, integration into other Reach Teach Play program curricula, and passes to the Ravinia performance for over 2,000 students.

Summer Day Camps connects with community-based day camp programs to enrich the experience for 1,400 children with music classes and instrument-making and performance opportunities.
