Susan has been the principal flutist of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra since 1980.  Orpheus has partnered with TARISIO, the leading international venue for fine string instruments and bows, for the second season of salon-style chamber music, entitled Twilight at Tarisio.  Each of the five concerts features music and food inspired by some of the greatest European cities.  On February 13, 2019, Susan will lead a program titled "Lisbon, City of Explorers" featuring music from Portugal.  Susan will be joined by renowned guitarist Pedro Jóia, the redoubtable percussionist Ruca Rebordão and Susan's great friend and colleague from Orpheus, cellist Melissa Meell who will perform on one of Tarisio's prized instruments - perhaps a Stradivarius or Guarneri.  The group will perform the music of Carlos Paredes, Alain Oulman, Armandinho and a new composition by Pedro "Velho Mondego".
