King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that construction activities are planned next week on U.S. 422 under an $83.6 million project to reconstruct and improve approximately 2.1 miles of the expressway and replace bridges between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County.

Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that milling and inlet replacement operations will occur at night next on eastbound Interstate 76 (Schuylkill Expressway) under a $36.8 million project to resurface and repair nearly five miles of the interstate, the associated on-and-off ramps, and 23 bridges in Philadelphia.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that rolling stops are scheduled on Interstate 81 in Union Township, Lebanon County, so a contractor can replace power lines spanning the interstate near Exit 90 (Route 72/Lebanon).

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) reminds travelers that lane restrictions are anticipated on Interstate 81 this weekend, April 19-22, and the weekend of May 3-5 so concrete pavement patching, and asphalt paving can be performed on a section of the interstate near Carlisle in Cumberland County.

PennDOT District 11 is announcing lane closures on Route 4003 (McKnight Road) in the City of Pittsburgh, and Ross and McCandless townships, Allegheny County will continue Monday, April 22 weather permitting.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) placed a radar-controlled speed display board earlier this week on Route 655 in Menno Township, Mifflin County. It will remind drivers to obey the posted speed limit and aid in curbing speeding, a common type of aggressive driving behavior.

A four-year reconstruction project continues next week on Route 199 in Sayre and Athens, Bradford County. The 2.6-mile project is located .44-mile north of the intersection with Route 1056 (Front Street) in Athens Borough to the intersection with Interstate 17 (Southern Tier Expressway) at the New York state line in Sayre Borough. The project begins at the New York state line and works south.

Motorists who travel Route 220 in Woodward Township, Lycoming County, are advised that the bridge replacement and rehabilitation project continues next week. This project replaced the northbound structure carrying Route 220 over the Fourth Street off ramp and rehabilitated northbound structures over Antlers Lane and the Lycoming Valley Railroad during the 2023 construction season. The 2024 construction season will replace the southbound structure carrying Route 220 over the Fourth Street off ramp and rehabilitated southbound structures over Antlers Lane and the Lycoming Valley Railroad.

Bridge bearing, scupper, seal flushing and cleaning is anticipated through Friday, April 26, depending on weather and operations.
