Another great advocacy bootcamp is in the books! This intensive experiential learning experience connected students from Catawba College and Wake Forest University with experts in environmental advocacy, scientific field research, advocacy-oriented photojournalism, and grassroots organizing. Highlights included water sampling, aerial tours over animal factory farming operations, and engaging directly with impacted community members.
Our latest installment profiles Bocas de Ceniza Waterkeeper, Liliana Guerrero. Liliana has been working since 2010 to protect the Magdalena River watershed, which supports more than half of Colombia’s population.
