Android 12 incompatibility
I was running this game on my Pixel 4 XL which I upgraded from Android 11 to Android 12. WOTV continued to run without zero issues. After upgrading to Pixel 6, Amazon appatore says the game is incompatibility. That can't be the case as I've played WOTV for a few weeks before purchasing a new phone.

This game has a lot to offer if you're interested. Beautiful art, fun collaborations, cool character designs, great voice acting and plenty of YouTube content if you find yourself stuck or need advice. The game gets constant updates and it's easier than ever before to grind, in fact it's not really considered grinding anymore. There is an "auto" option for everything and skip tickets for all completed missions if you just want to farm the rewards instantly. If you are set on staying free-to-play then start out by building a savings and stockpiling your resources as there is A LOT of free resources to earn when you're just starting out. Don't focus on leveling every single character but pay attention to the meta shifts and upcoming content and weigh your account needs and wants. Some characters make content easier to farm but you can absolutely get by with the bare minimum. No the game is not perfect but if you have realistic expectations I think you'll enjoy it.

I'll start by saying I actually like the design of the game and the graphics, but this is not designed to be playable for free. I love FF Tactics, and this game is a great succession to that game. The characters, combat and story are all engaging, with an in depth (and maybe over complicated) equipment leveling system.

But all of this is locked behind a leveling system that requires you to spend HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS or progress at a snails pace. Sorry for the caps but I wanted that to stand out. There are so many things locked behind a system that progresses at a snails pace unless you spend lots of money, that make end game content completely out of reach.

If you only play the game for the story and don't care about the rest of the game, you should be fine. But that is only a small part of what the game offers. The rest requires you to level up characters using a system that puts items in your face that cost real money, and lots of it.

All of the YouTube content creators I watched have to spend hundreds of dollars to have their accounts AND you will note that a lot of their content will include opening real money purchases.

I really liked this game at first, I spent money and a good amount of time each day, but my progression has been very small for the amounts invested. As much as I'd like to endorse the game, it's simply very bad in the end. Only wanting to siffon your bank account and give little in return.

Similar to my review on Google Play, I'll say, now in a more updated frame of mind, that WotV is really a perfect game for TRPG lovers & lovers of the FF series. If you loved FFT or TAC, then welcome to your new home. The greatest hits first then, because I'd like to be as fast & concise as possible. The graphics, story, voice acting, music, gameplay, customization (even your on map avatars weapon changes to whichever weapon you're geared with!)... all off the chain. The meh, the grind. Oh boy, it's no joke. If you want the endgame level +5 goodies or maxed characters... good luck & I hope you don't have a job, family or social life. The crap, the game has been crashing constantly across all devices, in hand or emulated, since day one, & that's exactly a year as of this writing. I can't *expletive* imagine how Gumi can't QC this properly. Really baffles me & aggravates countless players. My advice, play the game, love the game & just deal with the issues. Not deducting any stars for the QC or extreme farming MO.

Battles can be time consuming for a mobile game, but they have an adequate level of strategy and complexity for a FF tactics game. Many pieces are upgradeable, but missing components link to where to find them. It will take me personally many months to get characters to their top level. Story started slow, but I'm now seeing the intrigue in terms of "game of houses" or "game of thrones" that fantasy fans would associate with games set in a medieval world at the end of chapter one. MC better grow up fast! If I take this slowly and don't worry about everything being ultrarare and end game quality quickly, I think I will enjoy it at least as much or more than ffbe. Still prefer FF Mobius, but today is literally the last day of new content before EOS for that and this is strong candidate to replace it in my mobile gaming time.

This game is rendered unplayable through the Amazon app store every time there's an update, because it's never posted on time. No issues on Android (and presumably none on iOS either, so it's likely an issue on Amazon's side.

Only use this version of the app to reroll until you're satisfied with your new account. Unfortunately, it's the only version that lets you log in and out of multiple accounts.

The game itself is really good, especially the story. Like any gacha game, you can be competitively f2p so long as you're smart with what you pull. In this game, that means focusing on only one element (at least until it's fully built up). As a result, the best time to pick this game up is when one of your favorite FF characters is on banner so that you can reroll for whomever that is.

This is a fantastic game when it works. Unfortunately, the game has been crashing constantly, seemingly for Android 14 users, but who knows, because the Dev team doesn't actually pass on useful information like that. The crashes have been happening for almost 2 months now, and the most recent update has made the game unplayable for me. But never fear! The Support team gave me the great advice of playing on a different device, no problem, let me just go spend a ton of money on a new device strictly for your broken game

It's pretty much the only gatcha games that I love and would spend $ on...

The only reason is that it's a game like Final Fantasy Tactics..

I tried not to spend on it and play for free most of the time since release but it's too hard to keep up with everything. So I tried putting a little bit of money in and it's a more enjoyable game but I do not regret it, even I LOVE the game..

Because this game be very addictive if you love it, and at a point it's just grinding and you have to put $ in to beat and battle at a certain level. Try not to, and you can still be able to do everything without spending, it just take more time and more grinding.

But I'm mostly a 96% free to play I grinded since the release and I keep up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Juegazo
Reviewed in Spain on January 20, 2023

Solo permite Facebook.
