Construction Safety Week 2021

Committed to Holistic Safety

Rosendin is proud to participate in Construction Safety Week. The risks are real across our industry, and in every aspect of our work, including ones we can’t always see—the outside stresses and distractions that interfere with our ability to stay present, focused, and safe on the job. That’s why it’s critically important to promote holistic safety in the workplace. This means ensuring that we are always both physically and mentally present and that we make every aspect of our well-being part of our safety culture and programs. We must prioritize both physical and psychological safety, and how together, they play an important role in our relationships with our team members and with our ability to bring our safest, most productive, best selves to work every day.

BE PRESENT. BE FOCUSED. BE SAFE.

Outside stresses and distractions can take us out of our element, interfere with our focus and awareness and impact everything from our decision-making abilities to our reaction times. Our jobs are both physically and mentally demanding. Struggles with anxiety, depression, stress, anger and frustrations, family tension, financial concerns, and more can lead to distraction, miscommunication, and unpreparedness; all that can be primary causes of workplace incidents.

Monday, May 3 – Rosendin’s Holistic Approach to Safety

In today’s construction world, it is vital to maintain good physical and mental health. As we start each day, we need to focus on the key elements to achieve a safe work environment and at the task and work at hand to prevent incidents and injuries. Construction environments can be dangerous if workers are not aware of their surroundings, familiar with work processes, or mentally prepared. Keep a strong sense of awareness and knowledge of the current safety requirements, processes, and procedures to complete the job with zero incidents.

Tuesday, May 4 – Job Site Safety

When we walk onto a job site, we know what’s on the line: the work, our reputations, a paycheck. But most importantly, the lives and livelihood of every person there. Our commitment to safety is a promise to ourselves, our co-workers, our clients, our communities, and the families who rely and count on us. We promise to do whatever it takes to send everyone home safely at the end of every day.

Be Present. Be Focused. Be Safe.

To ensure holistic safety, we must make every aspect of our well-being part of our safety cultures and programs by staying alert, observant, and always having each other’s backs. Together, physical and mental safety plays an essential role in our relationships with one another and improves our ability to bring our safest, most productive, best selves to work every day.

Wednesday, May 5 – Culture of Care and The Rosendin Foundation

It is our responsibility to promote equality and diversity and provide safe and welcoming work environments free from harassment, hazing, and bullying. In 2020, Rosendin established the Culture of Care program to ensure every employee has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

The Rosendin Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) charitable corporation and the charitable arm of Rosendin Holdings, Inc., was established to positively impact communities, build and empower people, and inspire innovation. The Foundation partners with community-focused non-profit organizations to support health including emotional,  nutritional, and occupational programs in the communities where Rosendin and Modular Power Solutions (MPS) employees work and live. The Foundation provides emergency grants and has two annual grant cycles each year.

Thursday, May 6 – Craft Empowerment Program

In recognizing our Core Values, Rosendin developed a Craft Empowerment Program (CEP). This program aims to involve our craft employees to help us continue to be a leader in the electrical industry. To date, this program has positively affected our projects and given our craft respect and a voice to establish continuous improvement with safety, production, quality, and morale.

Be Present. Be Focused. Be Safe.

Rosendin’s commitment to safety through meaningful action and permanent solutions is rooted in our core values: We Care. We Share. We Listen. We Innovate. We Excel.
