Ranking Member Blumenauer to Host Public Roundtable on Destructive De Minimis Loophole   

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Ways and Means Trade Subcommittee Ranking Member Earl Blumenauer will host a public roundtable with expert witnesses on the impact of the de minimis loophole on American businesses, consumers, and international human rights. In June, Congressman Blumenauer introduced Import Security and Fairness Act, bipartisan, bicameral legislation stop non-market economies from exploiting the de minimis threshold and require U.S. Customs and Border Protection to collect more information on de minimis shipments.
