Chancellorsville Battlefield

While much of the landscape around Chancellorsville has changed since 1863, it is still possible to visit and explore this great Civil War battlefield.  Much of the battlefield has been preserved. The best place to start your visit is at the Chancellorsville Battlefield Visitor Center on the Plank Road (Virginia Route 3).  From there you can drive the Jackson Flank March Trail or visit places like Salem Church, the Chancellor House site, Hazel Grove, Fairview, or the woods near Hooker's Last Line.
