The world of classical music is changing very fast.

A new generation of brilliant artists is reshaping what it means to be a classical musician, breaking down boundaries and exploring thrilling new ways of connecting with audiences. Would you like to be a part of it?

Manchester Collective’s annual Winter Residency, open to string players at any stage of their career and who are based in the North of England, is back. Up to twelve musicians will be awarded fully funded places to work alongside a range of inspiring musicians, mentors and workshop leaders, in a 10-day immersive programme designed to challenge, nurture and upskill.
