Shelbyville pastor Bryan Nerren landed safely at Nashville International Airport on Tuesday night after several months of being trapped in India following a mission trip.

Pastor Nerren was detained last October during his annual mission trip to train Sunday school teachers in Nepal and India. FOX 17 News' Stacy Case initially reported on Nerren's situation in November and has provided numerous updates as the story developed.

Case was on the scene during Nerren's arrival and spoke exclusively with the pastor and his wife.

FOX 17 News will continue to update this story as it develops.

A Shelbyville pastor who has been in India for months following a mission trip will return home this week.

Pastor Bryan Nerren of International House of Prayer Ministries in Shelbyville is scheduled to return on Tuesday night at around 9:30 p.m., his family announced Sunday morning at the church.

The pastor was detained last October during his annual mission trip to train Sunday school teachers in Nepal and India. FOX 17 News' Stacy Case initially reported on Nerren's situation in November and has provided numerous updates as the story developed.

Last month, Case reported that the Nerren family was making progress getting the pastor home by working with President Trump, members of Congress and the State Department, but was trapped indefinitely as everything shut down in India including courts and international flights due to coronavirus.
