Coffee competition produced annually by World Coffee Events, it allows to qualify for the world championship: the World Barista Championship (WBC).
The World Barista Championship (WBC) is the largest international coffee competition produced annually. The competition focuses on promoting excellence in coffee, advancing the barista profession, and engaging a global audience with an annual championship event that serves as the culmination of local and regional events around the world. Â
WCE-certified judges from around the world evaluate each performance on
- the taste of the beverages served,
- cleanliness,
- creativity,
- technical proficiency,
- overall presentation.
The ever-popular signature drink allows baristas to use their imagination and the judges' palates to integrate their coffee knowledge with the expression of their individual tastes and experiences. Â
The top 6 contestants advance to the final round, with one winner being named Barista Champion.
