The National Association of Wheat Growers is thanking Senate Agriculture Committee leadership for asking the USDA to include wheat in all Coronavirus Food Assistance Payment aid. NAWG Vice President of Policy and Communication Josh Tonsager says wheat growers have been suffering greatly from the pandemic along with dealing with low prices.

He says all wheat classes need to be included in any CFAP assistance.

Tonsager says the losses wheat growers are suffering from the pandemic keep growing every day.

Tonsager says having the type of Congressional support they’re seeing for pandemic aid for wheat growers should help in convincing the USDA to move forward with that CFAP assistance.
