We can build it more efficiently! Using proven #decarbonization solutions for buildings and electrifying construction equipment, we can reach our climate goals. As we work toward our #ESG goal of being carbon-neutral by 2030, we want to be our customers’ partner to reach their own decarbonization milestones. Through technologies we have developed, such as the Dextreme system to reduce hydraulic system losses, we can help our construction industry customers build more efficient and cleaner machinery. Yesterday, at the Washington, D.C., residence of the Danish ambassador to the U.S., Jesper Møller Sørensen, we organized a “Decarbonizing Cities” event focused on the construction industry. With industry leaders, we discussed the proven technologies to help reduce construction vehicle emissions, such as Digital Displacement and Danfoss’ Dextreme system. In his opening remarks, Danfoss North America president Rick Sporrer noted, “The decarbonization of construction machinery is not merely a challenge; it's an opportunity for transformation. By prioritizing energy efficiency, embracing technological innovations, and implementing targeted policies, we can pave the way towards a greener, more sustainable future for the construction industry and beyond.”

Green hydrogen production requires large amounts of renewable electricity. Therefore, we must consider green hydrogen a scarce and expensive resource. To leverage the benefits of green hydrogen while minimizing the cost, we must: 💠 Produce hydrogen efficiently – minimizing energy loss in conversion, aligning production with periods of excess renewable supply, and reusing excess heat generated by electrolysis. 💠 Use hydrogen wisely - deploying it only in sectors and applications where direct electrification is not immediately feasible. For an in-depth roadmap for an efficient build out of green hydrogen, read our latest Danfoss Impact paper: https://bit.ly/4b3T5xG #DanfossImpact #GreenHydrogen #EnergyTransition #EnergyEfficiency #EnergyStorage #WhyEE

The battle against climate change will be won – or lost – in cities. Last year, Danfoss released its “Roadmap for Decarbonizing Cities” whitepaper, outlining how available technologies can reduce greenhouse gas emissions to meet global climate goals. Construction machinery worldwide emits 400MT of CO2 annually, as much as the emissions from international aviation. Decarbonizing heavy-duty construction machines is critical to curb emissions. Next week, we are hosting an event with construction industry thought leaders and policymakers, including Danish ambassador Jesper Moller Sorensen, to explore the opportunities for reducing both carbon emissions and operating costs in construction machinery while increasing productivity. Stay tuned for details of the insights shared at the event and download the Danfoss Impact whitepaper to learn about the technologies and solutions available to enable #decarbonization across sectors: https://bit.ly/46tvlkv #WhyEE #EnergyEfficiency

Excited to be working with SUNY Polytechnic Institute to develop a skilled workforce in the semiconductor industry.
This morning, Lt. Governor Antonio Delgado was on campus to announce that SUNY Poly is the recipient of a $4 million Empire State Development Grant. This new funding — combined with an additional $16 million investment in SUNY Poly’s College of Engineering announced by Governor Kathy Hochul in November — will support the establishment of a $26.5 million Semiconductor Processing to Packaging Research, Education, and Training Center. The new center will be housed in the Quad C building alongside Danfoss and will be a one-stop shop for semiconductor manufacturing, offering highly specialized educational opportunities that align with the needs of the region’s burgeoning tech industries and prepare students for high-demand jobs.
