About us
Chicago Loop Alliance leads the community by creating and supporting inclusive programs that attract people and investment to the Loop. Chicago Loop Alliance's services and projects are in place to realize the vision of the Chicago Loop being an iconic global destination and the city’s most vibrant and welcoming neighborhood. As a member-based business organization, Chicago Loop Alliance advocates for the city's rapidly growing central business district. Representing over 300 of the Loop's business, civic, and cultural institutions, CLA is the only organization whose primary role is to promote businesses and lead revitalization efforts specific to the Loop. The Loop's boundaries are the Chicago River to the north and west, Ida B. Wells Drive on the south and Lake Michigan on the east. CLA continues to be the service provider of Special Service Area #1, which includes property on both sides of State Street between Wacker Drive on the north and Ida B. Wells on the south. These services include landscaping, power washings, seasonal decorations, events, marketing and infrastructure maintenance.

Thanks Crain's Chicago Business for publishing our President & CEO's, Michael Edwards, op-ed on betting big on the Loop. The data speaks for itself: our recent pedestrian counter statistics consistently show foot traffic on State Street at 95% of pre-pandemic levels. People are back in the Loop, now let's give them a reason to stay and return. Google and Chase, along with those investing in LaSalle Street, are already embracing this resurgence. Now is the perfect time for others to join us in betting big on the Loop.
Opinion: We need to give people a reason to linger in the Loop
