A story… 5 years ago, I messaged the founder of charity: water, scott harrison and it went… “Sorry i'm late to the party! I only just watched 'The Spring' on Youtube. I am graduating university this year and applying to graduate jobs but inspired by your podcast on Masters of Scale and video. I want to do something meaningful and would love any opportunity to work/volunteer?” I didn’t get a reply, nor did I expect one. I will shoot my shot with anyone. Damn, I even emailed Tony Hawk’s management to ask if I can fly out to LA and interview him on Bitcoin (he’s into Bitcoin btw). They politely declined. Soon after messaging Scott, I started my podcast and subsequently hosted the UK’s first major Bitcoin conference in Edinburgh. I discovered charity: water was into Bitcoin. WTF. My worlds collided and we had the amazing Hannah Bellamy from charity: water presented at our conference.
