First, you need to determine whether you should attempt to reignite your passion at work or make a new career move. The most effective way to decide this is by clarifying for this period of your life your: 1) Core values 2) Life vision 3) Purpose 4) Interests 5) Favorite strengths 6) Favorite skills These are the key components of your #1 passion, which lies at their harmonic integration. Both your greatest passion and its components are inherently dynamic, making them subject to change. Why? Because life itself is dynamic. Because your new life circumstances and new experiences shape a new version of yourself. When a decision of your past self is no longer in alignment with your present self, the time to rediscover yourself has come.

Extensive research about both the role and the industry is important, but certainly insufficient. The paramount factor you need to focus on is your motivation, your "why." What's your personal story? What's your drive? How committed are you to making this transition happen? How serious are you about it? These are all questions that not only you need to answer during the entire interview process, from your application to the final interview, but also for yourself first. Once you get clarity, strive to gain as much hands-on experience as possible. It doesn't have to be the same job title. Simply focus on the skills required for the role, and start any activities and courses that will help you develop these skills.

1) Be the Best Student: Assume nothing. Ask about everything. Stay curious. Constantly ask for feedback. 2) Be Generous: Go out of your way to offer an extra hand, especially when you're not asked to. 3) Ownership: Act like an owner of the business by suggesting ideas for improvement. Then, take the initiative to execute them.

Giving unconditionally is actually one of the most effective ways to significantly enhance your happiness levels, whether it's mentoring or volunteering. In fact, you might be surprised how many people would appreciate your skills, talents, and time. Furthermore, giving back will boost your confidence and self-esteem, increasing your chances of nailing your next interview and landing that dream job!

Self-compassion will allow you to be more empathetic towards others. Given that empathy is a quality highly valued by potential colleagues and employers, it can be a great differentiator from other people, generating for you more opportunities.

Whether you want to maximize your chances of success in a career transition or find a new job, seeking support is crucial. Although there are plenty of resources available, especially online, I've noticed throughout my career coaching practice that asking for help can be really challenging for us. Why? Because of a false sense of pride, which derives by human ego. "I don't need help. I can do anything I want on my own", is a common unconscious bias of many people. However, asking for help is not a sign of weakness. Quite the contrary, it's a sign of strength because high self-awareness and courage are required for one to overcome their own ego. It is also a common trait of great leaders. Remember: It's OK to ask for help.
