HAPPY WORLD THEATRE DAY! Theatre as a space, community, or live event means so many different things to each of us. Some things our team is celebrating today are how theatre: ⭐Ignites the creative spark - the urge to create something follows us home and inspires us for days or weeks to come. ⭐Breaks the 4th wall - experiencing the intimate audience/artist interactions that other mediums like film and television can't replicate. The uniqueness of every show because no two audiences will react exactly the same in those moments of interaction. ⭐Community moments between audience members - when strangers become kindred spirits for the time of the show, sharing facts, knowledge/experience about the show or the performers, cheerful comments on the experience from the bar to the weather to get there, or how dazzling a performer is. So many little moments of connection from sharing the same space and show. Our shows have brought in artists - and audiences! - from around the world to enjoy theatrical events in Downtown Brampton! That makes us very happy!! #worldtheatreday Photos: HAMLET starring Ahad Raza Mir; an evening with Broadway star, Eva Noblezada; fellow Broadway star Reeve Carney signing Hadestown Playbills before Eva's show; Brampton Music Theatre's The Wizard of Oz; The Hive's The Vagina Monologues; Louie the Goat's Twelfth Night in Mount Pleasant Square; life-long fans meeting Bruce McCulloch after his show; Centre Stage Conservatory final performance.

The Rose is LIT! Brampton’s leading venue for live entertainment has upgraded its entire lighting inventory to state-of-the-art LED fixtures, improving visual quality and diversity, and reducing the venue’s energy consumption and carbon footprint. Up next: installing new lighting network hardware and infrastructure to ensure optimal data transmission and distribution across The Rose Mainstage and Rose Studio. We are incredibly grateful for the substantial support of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.  ICIP provides long-term, stable funding through Infrastructure Canada and Ontario Builds that champions integral accessibility and efficiency upgrades, like this one.  Brampton On Stage is committed to providing the best entertainment experience and service to our patrons and collaborators, as well as innovation and sustainability in the industry. #BuildingOurCommunities
