🎉Brent Lambert joins TDTD as the new East TN Division Manager. In his new role, Brent will aim to foster relationships with tourism organizations and community partners to enhance East Tennessee's tourism landscape. An East Tennessee native, Lambert has a rich background in senior management across tourism, nonprofits and government. He earned his bachelor's from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a Master of Public Administration from Valdosta State University. Lambert began his career as a historical researcher at a Chattanooga nonprofit, eventually managing its research library and archives, and book publishing operations. Concurrently, he served as a council member and mayor in East Ridge, leading initiatives like the Border Region Retail Tourism Development District. Later, he transitioned to the tourism sector, holding positions from Vice President to Executive Director at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum and the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center. ⛺ TDTD hosted an international group familiarization tour exploring Tennessee’s Small Towns & Hidden Gems. Journalists from the UK, Denmark, Italy and Brazil visited Franklin, Leiper’s Fork, Bell Buckle, Tracy City, Sewanee and experienced the Greatest Show Under Earth with a concert and campfire jam at The Caverns. Journalists enjoyed live music, culinary scene, Tennessee whiskey stories, outdoor adventure, storytelling and world-class hospitality. Thank you to Visit Franklin, the Bell Buckle Chamber, Tennessee’s South Cumberland Mountains of Adventure, The Smokehouse in Monteagle and The Caverns. Tennessee was one of several familiarization tours across the south ahead of the Global Summit Conference in Charleston. Why it matters: Media familiarization tours across the southern states will result in an anticipated $10 million in media coverage and inspire travel to the south.
