MGA Director of Member Services Kevin Kline spent three days in Washington, D.C., with members of the International Association of Golf Administrators, industry professionals, and the American Golf Industry Coalition participating in #NationalGolfDay events. These series of events provide an important opportunity for leaders throughout the industry to advocate for the game of golf and share the positive impact of golf on communities and the economy.

This morning, to complete our #NationalGolfDay activities, NGCOA members, Board and staff participated in the GCSAA / National Park Service collaborative community service project at two locations — National Mall and Memorial Parks (Thomas Jefferson Memorial and FDR baseball fields) and historic National Links Trust's Langston Golf Course. Thanks to the American Golf Industry Coalition for another memorable week!

Happy National Golf Day! At National Links Trust, we know that municipal golf facilities are crucial to the game as a whole. They are an affordable, accessible on-ramp to golf as more than 70% of golfers say that some of their earliest rounds were at municipal facilities. Beyond this, they provide access to greenspace, drive local economic activity, and enrich the lives of millions of Americans every day. With this, we believe that municipal golf has the power to positively impact local communities and change lives.
