A Justice Department study identified Las Vegas as one of 17 U.S. cities most likely to be a destination for human trafficking victims. It is estimated that internationally there are between 20 million and 40 million people in modern slavery today.

In recognition of National Human Trafficking Awareness Month, Erin Kauffman, program coordinator of SEEDS of Hope, will discuss recent efforts to combat human trafficking in Las Vegas. SEEDS, which stands for Saving, Empowering, Educating and Restoring Dreams, is part of the Salvation Army.
