Cultivating
Thriving Communities

Creating a more environmentally conscious distilled spirits industry is central to cultivating thriving communities, and supporting our employees, our partners, and our neighbors. The communities where we work and live depend on natural resources as a foundation for overall health and well-being. We are committed to cultivating sustainable practices for the resources we use to ensure a thriving environment for future generations.

As a leader in the industry since 1935, Heaven Hill has always strived to be a good steward of the natural resources used to create our products, like grains and water for our spirits, fuel and energy to run our facilities, and wood for our aging barrels.

To protect these vital resources, Heaven Hill has implemented a variety of projects over the last several years, including replacing light fixtures with more energy efficient LED bulbs, implementing recycling programs within our operations, completing multiple boiler efficiency projects to reduce energy needs, and tree plantings around our Bernheim Distillery.

Our world is being faced with some of the most pressing environmental challenges of our timeā€”our climate is changing, safe freshwater supplies are shrinking, deforestation is causing the destruction of critical habitat, and waste generation rates are rising. Equipped with an understanding of these challenges, the natural resources we utilize, and the ambition of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we have established a robust Environmental Sustainability Strategy with long-term goals to achieve by 2030.
