Latest Indoor Safety Guidelines

The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall is modifying its audience safety protocols to masks strongly recommended. Those who prefer to be masked or need to be masked to protect their own health conditions are welcomed to do so. Proof of a recent negative COVID test or voluntary proof of vaccination are also no longer required. Safety protocols are subject to change and may vary by show.

We can't wait to see you!

Ticketing Questions and Concerns

Hand sanitizer stations will be accessible throughout the facility and event spaces (i.e. lobbies upon entry and grand foyer where event is taking place).

We have installed UVC sanitation tools, like the Ultravation UVMatrix Disinfection systems in the Air Handlers, which improve indoor air quality.

If the need arises we employ fogging machines to mass disinfect all areas with an environmentally responsible PathoCide sanitizer/disinfectant. Per PathoSans, this is “99.999% effective at killing bacteria within seconds” (PathoSans 2020).

Bathrooms are also equipped with AeraMax multistage HEPA filtration systems, and will be cleaned and disinfected prior to the event, as well as routinely throughout the event.

Know before you go: Refreshments by Mattison's at the Van Wezel are available for purchase. Dining is offered either as a buffet style or seated meal before the show and during intermissions. For further information on Mattison's Catering, please call (941) 263-6799 or visit mattisonscatering.com.

We are following guidelines regarding best practices for sanitization, safety and will continue to do so. We also consult weekly with industry leaders and local performance venues and organizations on safety measures.

As we plan to implement new practices, local and national guidelines continue to evolve. We will continue to monitor any changes in directives and inform you of specific plans as we get closer to re-opening.

We appreciate your understanding and patience and we can't wait to welcome you back to the Van Wezel to enjoy live performances!
