Street Fighter League: Pro-US Season 6 is a 4-on-4 Team Battle tournament series featuring Street Fighter™ 6. Six teams comprised of four players each will compete over the course of one year to determine who will take home the Street Fighter League: Pro-US Season 6 Championship.

Street Fighter League: Pro World Championship 2019 Ruleset

By participating in the Street Fighter League: Pro World Championship 2019 (“​League​” or “​Event​”), Participants agree to be bound by these Street Fighter League: Pro World Championship 2019 Rules (the “​Rules​” or “​Ruleset​”), which are binding and final on matters relating to this Event.

TERMINOLOGY:

Player ​- Each person who participates in the event is referred to as a player (or “​participant​”).

Tournament Organizers ​- Tournament organizers (or “​TOs​”) are the entities involved in producing or managing the event.

Team Battle – ​A team battle (or “​battle​”) is a sequence of sets played between the two (2) teams. A battle is won by eliminating all three (3) players from the opposing team through match victories.

Match Queue -​The match queue is the order in which players compete in a Battle. Teams select the order of the first three (3) players in the match queue. Match 4 and 5 players are determined by the results of the previous matches.

Match – ​A match is won by winning two (2) games. Both players exit the stage at the end of a match and the next player enters the stage. The winning player moves to the next available match for their team (Match 4 or Match 5). The losing player is eliminated from the battle.

Game – ​A game is won by winning two (2) rounds.

Rounds – ​A round is won by depleting the opponent’s Health Meter (“K.O.”). If the timer runs out, the player with the higher amount of health remaining is the winner. If both players are K.O’d or if the health amount is tied at the end of a round, the round is declared a draw. A draw round will be replayed and only the result of the replay will be recorded.

Battle Tracker Sheet -​ The Battle Tracker Sheet (or “​Tracker​”) is a physical piece of paper that teams will use to record match queue order, ban selection, and match results.

Blind Character Ban – ​The process in which teams select a character to ban before knowing their opponent’s selection. Both bans are announced after both teams have submitted. No team may use any of the banned characters.

Shielded Character – ​The process in which players select a character to prevent from being banned by the other team.

STRUCTURE:

The event is a four (4) team single elimination bracket, featuring the top two (2) teams from SFL Pro-US and SFL Pro-JP.

BATTLE FORMAT:

Schedule – ​TOs will provide teams with a schedule that displays the order each battle is played.

Bracket:

  1. The first bracket will be Pro-US #1 vs. #2 and Pro-JP #1 vs. #2
  2. The Grand Finals will be the Pro-US Winner vs. the Pro-JP Winner.

Format:

  1. All matches will be best of three.
  2. The team player order will be submitted at the time bans are submitted. (Per US rules)
  3. Each player will play a minimum of one match in the order they are submitted.
  4. Once a player loses they are eliminated from the match.
  5. Winning players will be placed in a “winners queue” and the next team player will then play.  (Per US rules)
  6. Winners will then play each other until all players from a team are eliminated.

Banning:

  1. Teams will submit 3 characters at the beginning of the match:
    1. Primary Character Ban
    2. Secondary Character Ban
    3. Shielded Character
  2. Shielded Character: Each team may counter a Primary Character Ban with a “Shielded Character.” For example, if Team A’s Primary Character Ban is Team B’s Shielded Character, then Team A’s Secondary Banned Character is the banned character for Team B.
  3. Character Bans only apply to the team receiving the Ban. For example, if Team A bans Karin for Team B, Team A is still able to play Karin (unless Team B also bans her for Team A).

Order of Events​ – The following is the standard procedure each team must follow per battle. Teams that do not follow the procedure or the timings involved may be issued penalties at the TO discretion.

  1. Blind character ban​ – TOs will allow each team thirty (30) seconds to mark their character bans on the Tracker. TOs will announce both ban selection simultaneously to teams.
  2. Match queue selection​ – TOs will allow each team sixty (60) seconds to mark the players competing in match 1, match 2, and match 3 on the Tracker. Each match must contain a unique player from the respective team. Match 4 and match 5 players will be left blank.
  3. Controller setup​ – Players in the upcoming match are allowed two (2) minutes on-stage to set up their controllers. If there are issues with set up, the player must notify TOs.
  4. Character pick​ ​- ​Players in the upcoming match are allowed thirty (30) seconds to make character selections. Players must notify TOs before the timer starts if they are requesting blind character pick. For blind character pick, both players will mark their character selection on the tracker. TOs will announce both character picks simultaneously to players.
    1. Players must use the same character for all games within a match and battle. Character switching is not allowed until a battle has been completed.
  5. Game start​ – Before the start of each game, teams are allowed thirty (30) seconds to coach the on-stage player. Players can change v-triggers before the start of each game​.
  6. Match end​ – After a player has acquired two (2) game wins, both players will exit the stage regardless of match result. The winning player moves to the back of the match queue. The losing player is eliminated.
  7. Repeat steps 3 through 6 until all three (3) players from a team have been eliminated.

GAMEPLAY RULES:

  • 99 seconds
  • The player who won the last Game is required to keep the same character, however they can change their V-Trigger as long as their new V-Trigger choice is made before their opponent selects their own V-Trigger
  • The Kanzuki Beach, Flamenco Tavern, and Skies of Honor stages are banned from Tournament play
  • The R. Mika Professional Costume (Pom-Poms) is banned from Tournament play

EVENT OPERATIONS:

Decisions made by TOs are considered final and binding in all respects and not subject to challenge or appeal.

Any attempt to cheat or collude will result in immediate disqualification from the Events. More information on collusion can be found in the Code.

Any attempt to falsify regional eligibility will result in immediate disqualification from the Events.

Failure to comply with these requirements may result in immediate disqualification from the Event.

In the event of a technical failure or extreme circumstance, Event administrators may void the results of the game.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible for the Event, you (“​Participant​”) must:

  • Be 16 or older;
  • Be a registered U.S. citizen;
  • Agree to be bound by, and comply with, the Street Fighter League Code of Conduct (as updated, revised, changed, or modified from time to time by Capcom, the “​Code​”).
  • Not use macros or peripherals that tamper with standard game functionality

The Event is open to invited Participants throughout the U.S. or Canada, but is void wherever restricted or prohibited by law.

Employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives of Capcom (including the legal, promotion, and advertising agencies of Capcom) and their immediate family members (defined as spouse, mother, father, sisters, brothers, sons, daughters, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, grandparents and in-laws, regardless of where they live) and those living in their household (whether or not related), and each person or entity connected with the production or administration of the Event, and each parent company, affiliate, subsidiary, agent and representative of Capcom are not eligible.

Capcom reserves the right to disqualify any Participant in its sole discretion for any reason, including without limitation if Capcom determines Participant is cheating, hacking, harassing, using abusive or offensive language, colluding, account sharing, teaming, sabotaging, spamming, engaging in social engineering, scamming, or otherwise violating the Street Fighter EULA or the Code.

CONDITIONS:

The Event is subject to these Rules and the Code. By participating, Participants agree: (i) to be bound by these complete Rules, the Code, and the decisions of Capcom which shall be final and binding; and (ii) to waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Event, these Rules, or the Code, except where prohibited by law. Capcom shall not be liable for: (i) telephone system, telephone, or computer hardware, software, or other technical or computer malfunctions, lost connections, disconnections, delays or transmission errors; (ii) data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry or other materials; (iii) any injuries, losses or damages of any kind from participation in the Event; or (iv) any printing, typographical, administrative, or technological errors in any materials associated with the Event. Capcom reserves the right to cancel or suspend the Event in its sole discretion or due to circumstances beyond its control, including natural disasters. Capcom may disqualify any Participant from participating in the Event, at its sole discretion, it determines such Participant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Event by cheating, hacking, deception, or any other unfair playing practices intending to annoy, abuse, threaten, undermine, or harass any other Participants or Capcom’s representatives. The internal laws of the State of California will govern disputes regarding these Rules, the Code, and/or this Event. Capcom reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, modify, or suspend the Event should a virus, bug, computer or console problem, unauthorized intervention, or other causes beyond Capcom’s control, corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the Event. Any attempt to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of the Event may be in violation of criminal and civil laws and will result in disqualification from participation in the Event. Should such an attempt be made, Capcom reserves the right to seek remedies and damages (including attorneys’ fees) to the fullest extent of the law, including criminal prosecution. Capcom reserves the right to disqualify any Participant it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Event or violating these Rules and/or the Code. Capcom is not responsible for any problems, bugs, or malfunctions Participants may encounter. This Event is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.

PRIZING:

  • 1st: $90,000
  • 2nd: $24,000
  • T3rd: $12,000 (there is no tie-breaker for 3rd and 4th place)
  • T3rd: $12,000 (there is no tie-breaker for 3rd and 4th place)

PUBLICITY:

Capcom reserves the right to use the name, likeness, and/or CFN ID of any Participant, for publicity purposes prior to, during, or after the Event end date, in any media, throughout the world, in perpetuity, but only in connection with publicizing the Event, without any compensation or prior review unless specifically prohibited by law. At any time before, during or after the Event, Capcom may, in its discretion, choose to post each Participant’s name and profile information online (including Facebook pages, Twitter feeds, YouTube channels, and third-party websites) for promotional and entertainment purposes only. Posting of this content will not mean that said Participant is eligible to win or has been selected as a winner. Participants understand that users of these sites may share, comment on (including negatively), and re-post such content. Any requests by Participants to be removed from consideration will be accommodated to the extent practically possible.

WAIVER OF JURY TRIAL:

Except as prohibited by applicable law and as a condition of participating in this Event, each Participant hereby irrevocably and perpetually waives any right s/he may have to a trial by jury in respect of any litigation directly or indirectly arising out of, under or in connection with this Event, any document or agreement entered into in connection herewith, and any of the transactions contemplated hereby or thereby.

Street Fighter League: Pro-US 2019 Ruleset

By participating in the Street Fighter League: Pro-US 2019 (“​League​” or “​Event​”), Participants agree to be bound by these Street Fighter League: Pro-US 2019 Rules (the “​Rules​” or “​Ruleset​”), which are binding and final on matters relating to this Event.

Team ​- A group of three (3) players who compete in the event together. Each team consists of a Team Captain, an Online Warrior, and a Crowd Favorite.

Episode – ​Each episode covers three (3) battles, except for Episode 1 (Draft Episode). There are eleven (11) total episodes within a season.

Team Battle – ​A team battle (or “​battle​”) is a sequence of sets played between the two (2) teams. A battle is won by eliminating all three (3) players from the opposing team through match victories.

 

Match Queue -​The match queue is the order in which players compete in a Battle. Teams select the order of the first three (3) players in the match queue. Match 4 and 5 players are determined by the results of the previous matches.

STRUCTURE:

The event is a six (6) team double round robin, taking place over the course of eleven (11)episodes. Episode 1 is the Draft episode. Episode 2 through episode 11 are gameplay episodescontaining three (3) battles each.

Team standings will be sorted in order of the following:

  1. Most Battle Wins
  2. Least Battle Losses
  3. Direct Encounters -​ Only the battle results between the tied teams are taken intoaccount. The team with the most battle wins and least battle losses is placed higher.
  4. Match Win Differential -​ Overall match wins minus overall match losses. The team with the higher value is placed higher.
  5. Game Win Differential – ​Overall game wins minus overall game losses. The team with the higher value is placed higher.
  6. If ties cannot be resolved by the above, the tied teams will play a single game with no character bans. Teams will blind select one player to compete in this game.

DRAFT:

Each Team Captain is assigned a number 1-6 by Tournament Organizers. The number isdetermined by their previous CPT ranking and influences the draft pick order. Each TeamCaptain must select one (1) Online Warrior and one (1) Crowd Favorite.

The draft pick order is as follows:

  • 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

BATTLE FORMAT:

  • The schedule for episodes 2 through 6 is set.
  • The schedule for episodes 7 through 11 is subject to change. Schedule changes only affect the time in which each battle is played per episode . The teams involved for each battle does not change.
