Julianne Johnston

Senior Counselor

With an impressive history in the ag space coupled with an innate presence that grows and maintains great client relationships, Julianne knows how to connect. Her corn, soybean, cattle and hog farm background and degree in ag journalism from Iowa State set her up well for her previous role at Farm Journal Media, where she was part of the team that launched AgWeb.com – AgWeb Crop Comments was her brainchild. She thrives in MM’s collaborative environment and is a key contributor to helping ag-based clients promote their brands. Her interests expand way beyond ag, too, in a very millennial sort of way: she home brews kombucha, loves yoga and entertains a staggering 7,000 Twitter followers.

WHAT MOVES ME?

Using my skills and passions for agriculture to move the conversation forward in a collaborative environment inspires me to do great client work.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME:

  • I want to be remembered by people as someone who genuinely cared about them… as someone who was willing to drop what I was doing to help them, support them and cheer them on.
  • If I could invent a holiday, it would definitely involve rare beef and red wine.
  • If I were a superhero, my superpower would be to read my clients’ minds.
  • Explain someone I admire and why: Even though I was raised in a rural setting, my mother exposed me to events that made me realize the possibilities in this world are endless. She dedicated her life to her family, and that served her and our family well. That motivates me to do my best and not take the small things for granted.
