GRAMMY Award-winning rapper, singer, executive producer, and songwriter Derrick Milano has just released his new single “die4iT.” It’s a celebratory moment as it marks his official debut for Epic Records and hints at much more solo music to come from the multitalented artist. On the track, Milano gets explicit:

You got a man, hope he don’t get in trouble, he be all in your business, I know that that n***a be burstin’ your bubble/ I be all in your guts when I’m in it, i’m diggin’ you out with this shovel, two hours straight, we get up, we gon’ lay up, watch hulu and cuddle (ooh, ooh, woah)

She said, “You willin’ to die for this pussy?” I told her, “I’d die for that pussy”/ Some n***as die over pussy (some n***ass die over pussy)/ I’m gettin’ impatient, I pulled up on you, why you havin’ me waitin’?/ I’m breakin’ your back, I be havin’ you shakin’

Milano made sure to take some time to share what his intentions were behind the new offering. “The song is about having to accept whatever comes with the risks we take in relationships,” says Milano via press release. “The heart of the song protects us from whatever doesn’t serve us well and when we do meet the right woman, it is our responsibility to protect her.”

Philly born and Delaware raised Derrick Milano continues to assert himself as a presence in the music industry. He has already won a GRAMMY in 2021 for co-writing Megan thee Stallion’s “Savage” and it’s Beyonce-featuring remix. Along the way, he put up numbers on early independent solo releases of his own, such as “Play Wit It,” “Cellular,” and the 2020 collaborative project 1/2 Man 1/2 Wolf with producer Danny Wolf.

Be sure to press play on Derrick Milano’s brand new single “die4iT.”
