Creating Community

In-Person: Tuesday, May 14, 2024
Virtual: Thursday, May 16, 2024
8-9:30 a.m.
Co-hosted by the Women's Fund for the Fox Valley Region

Building a network of supportive women in the workplace is essential to build a strong sense of community and belonging. This allows women to feel supported, understood, and validated in their experiences. It also helps to combat feelings of isolation that women often face in male-dominated industries. Women can learn from each other's experiences and support each other's professional growth and development. Thirdly, a strong network of women in the workplace can lead to increased opportunities for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and mutual support. It creates a space where women can leverage each other's strengths and expertise to achieve collective success. Furthermore, a robust network of women in the workplace can help challenge gender biases, break down barriers, and advocate for gender equality and diversity in the organizational culture. Finally, fostering a community of women in the workplace can inspire and empower future generations of women, creating a positive ripple effect that extends beyond individual careers. In-Person Location: Women's Fund for the Fox Valley Region, 4455 W. Lawrence Street, Appleton.
