The Ut Prosim Society draws its name from Virginia Tech’s motto: That I May Serve.

Its members epitomize the values inherent in that motto. Through engagement and extraordinary generosity, they are leaders in the community of philanthropy that sustains all areas of the university.

The society was created in 1986, has grown to more than 2,500 people, and has four levels of membership.

  • Senior Benefactor: Individuals or couples who have given $250,000 or more.

  • Distinguished Benefactor: Individuals or couples who have given $500,000 or more.
