Order Amending the Order of the Secretary of the

Pennsylvania Department of Health Directing Individuals


to Stay at Home
On this day, March 27, 2020, I hereby amend my Order dated March 23, 2020, as
amended March 24 and 25, 2020, directing individuals in specified counties to “Stay at
Home.”

The first sentence of that amended Order is further amended to read:

To protect the public from the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), it is necessary


that all individuals residing in the counties of Allegheny, Berks, Bucks, Butler,
Chester, Delaware, Erie, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Lehigh, Luzerne, Monroe,
Montgomery, Northampton, Pike, Philadelphia, Wayne, Westmoreland, and York
to stay at home or at their place of residence except as needed to access, support or
provide life-sustaining business, emergency or government services.

The first sentence following the sentence in the first paragraph that states,
“Therefore, on this day, March 23, 2020, under the authority granted to me by law, I
hereby order,” is amended to read:

All individuals residing in Allegheny County, Berks County, Bucks County, Butler
County, Chester County, Delaware County, Erie County, Lackawanna County,
Lancaster County, Lehigh County, Luzerne County, Monroe County, Montgomery
County, Northampton County, Pike County, Philadelphia County, Wayne County,
Westmoreland County and York County to stay at home except as needed to access,
support or provide life-sustaining business, emergency or government services.

Following the sentence that reads, “Enforcement of this Order will commence at
8:00 PM on Monday, March 23, 2020,” the following sentence is added:

Except that enforcement of this Order with respect to Berks, Butler, Lackawanna,
Lancaster, Luzerne, Pike, Wayne, Westmoreland and York counties will
commence at 8:00 PM on March 27, 2020.

The Order remains unchanged in every other respect.
