A few dozen protesters chanted slogans during a protest Wednesday against the acquittal of President Donald Trump as part of the nationwide “Reject The Cover-up” rallies.

One of those in the Bay Area happened at the intersection of Ygnacio Valley Road and Civic Drive in Walnut Creek. The majority of U.S. Senate voted not guilty on both articles of impeachment. The counts were 52-48 on abuse of power and 53-47 on obstruction of justice. “They all (GOP) violated their Oath of Office,” said Ogie Strogatz, one of the rally organizers of Walnut Creek. “This government is destroying the democratic process.”
