Butcher’s General Competition Terms & Conditions
Competition winners will be selected and be informed by Email/Facebook/Instagram messaging within 10 days of the Final Draw Closing Date and will then have 28 days to respond to that email to claim the prize. If the winner fails to respond within this time the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize offer and award the prize to a reserve winner selected in the same manner.
User Generated Content (UCG): by submitting UCG you represent and warrant that i) you are the sole owner of the UCG, ii) the UGC is accurate, iii) you are at least thirteen (13) years old, iiii) you give your permission for it to be featured in Butcher’s marketing.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, corrupted or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise.
All winners and runners up must, at the Promoter’s request, participate in reasonable marketing and promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of the prize, free of charge, and they consent to the Promoter using their name and images in promotional material.
No purchase is necessary to enter this competition.
Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other form of compensation. All food for dogs will be Butcher’s branded.
In the event for any reason the prize winners do not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winners and neither cash nor any other form of compensation will be supplied in lieu of that element of the prize. If for any reason a prize is not available, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute another prize for it, in its sole discretion, of equal or higher value.
Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted.
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
The names and counties of residence of the promotion prize winners will be available by sending a correctly stamped envelope/postcard addressed to Butcher’s Pet Care, Dockham Way, Crick, NN6 7TZ.
The promotion is only valid for UK entrants aged 18 or over. We will not send prizes abroad.
Please note that employees, and relatives of employees, of Butcher’s Pet Care and its associated companies are not eligible to enter this competition.
The personal information entrants provide will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting this promotion. The Promoter may disclose entrants’ personal information to its contractors and agents to assist in conducting this promotion or communicating with entrants. The Promoter is bound by the Data Protection Acts (1984 and 1998).

Superfans
The search for our Superfans is an ongoing campaign and will finish at Butcher’s discretion. Please note this is not a competition and there is no prize to be won/collected.
This is not a paid partnership, however Butcher’s reserve the right, at their discretion, to agree terms with each participant in exchange for their participation in the campaign.
Successful applicants must at Butcher’s request, participate in reasonable promotional activity/post content on their own social media accounts as approved by Butcher’s and consent to Butcher’s using their name and images in promotional material.
Your details will be shared with Metamorphic Marketing Limited, who will support Butcher’s for the duration of the campaign.
#NourishEveryDog Pledge
The Promotor will donate one meal to selected charities based in mainland Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales only) for every use of the hashtag #NourishEveryDog on qualifying competition entries.
Each ‘donation’ per social media post containing the #NourishEveryDog hashtag equals one meal, which is the equivalent of 1x 150g Foil Tray or 1x 390g / 400g Tin.
Total donations from social media posts will not exceed 2,000,000 (2 million) meals.
The Promotion is free to enter and no purchase of any kind is necessary.
Donations received by the charities are to nourish the dogs in their care and strictly not for resale.

These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry instructions are deemed to form part of the Terms and Conditions and by participating, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the Terms and Conditions. 2 ELIGIBILITY
The promotion is open to residents of the UK, aged 18 years or over only, excluding:
(a) employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies.
(b) employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the promotion or its administration.
(c) members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above
3 THE PROMOTION
3.1. The title of the promotion is ‘WIN A Dog Friendly Holiday’.
3.2. The promotional period will open 09:00 27/04/24 – 17:30 22/09/24 (the “Closing Date”) inclusive. All entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
3.3 No purchase necessary.
4 ENTRY
4.1. To enter the prize draw, at a DogFest event by submitting details: full name, email address, dog name, dog date of birth, and selecting which Butcher’s range they are interested in hearing about.
4.2. Entrants must then select the ‘I agree’ to terms and conditions tick box.. Entrants will be required to agree to and comply with any terms of conditions of entry to the event as communicated by the event partner.
4.3. Maximum of one (1) entry per person, for the entirety of the promotion. Anyone found attempting to bypass this rule will be disqualified.
4.4. Entrants who make an entry on someone else’s behalf will be disqualified, at the Promoter’s discretion.
4.5 Incomplete, illegible, invalid or misdirected sign-ups will not be accepted. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery. The Promoter takes no responsibility for sign-ups delayed, incomplete or lost due to technical reasons or otherwise.
5 THE PRIZE
5.1. £500 PetsPyjamas to be redeemed online or in app, within 12 months.
5.2. There is 1 prize available to be won in total.
5.3. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for any cash alternatives in whole or in part.
5.4. No cash or other alternative prize will be provided in whole or in part. The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control makes it necessary to do so.

6 WINNER NOTIFICATION
6.1. The winner will be selected at random from all valid sign-ups to the Butcher’s newsletter.
6.2. The winner will receive a winning confirmation email (the “Winning Confirmation Email”), sent to the email address provided at the time of entry. It is the responsibility of entrants to check junk/spam folders to ensure they are in receipt of any communications.
6.3. The winner will be notified by email via the email address provided on entry up to 7 working days after the close date (22/09/24). If no reply is received, the winner will be contacted by mobile and a further email will be sent after 7 days. If the winner does not respond within 14 days to the initial Winning Confirmation email, or is ineligible or rejects their prize, another winner will be selected using the same methodology as above. The process will repeat for three months after which the prize will be null and void.
County of residence will be requested from the winner for the purposes of the winners list, if no objection is received.
6.4. The winner will receive their prize via the email address provided on entry within 28 days of valid prize claim and the completion of the verification process.
6.5. It is the responsibility of the entrant to provide correct, up-to-date details when sing-up for the newsletter and on acceptance of the prize. The Promoter cannot be held responsible for the winner failing to supply accurate information which affects prize acceptance or delivery of their prize.
7 LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
7.1. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring in connection with this promotion, the fulfilment of the prize and/or the use of the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law. Your statutory rights are not affected.
8 DATA PROTECTION
8.1. By entering the promotion, you agree that any personal information provided by you with the promotion entry may be held and used only by the Promoter or its agents and suppliers solely to administer this promotion. Data obtained during promotion will be deleted three months after the closing date.
8.2. Entrants’ personal data will be used and will be held in accordance with current Data Protection legislation and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, available here: https://butchersdogfood.co.uk/privacy-policy/.
8.3. You can request access to your personal data, or have any inaccuracies rectified, by sending an email to butchersdogfest@getsavvy.com . By participating in the promotion, you agree to the use of your personal data as described here.
9 GENERAL
9.1. The Promoter will make available the prize winner’s surname and county of residence to members of the public or regulators who request such details three months after the closing date of this promotion. Entrants can object to disclosure, or request that disclosure be limited in scope by contacting butchersdogfest@getsavvy.com. We may nevertheless disclose the information to the Advertising Standards Authority if required to do so. You may request a copy of the winners list by emailing butchersdogfest@getsavvy.com. We reserve the right to refuse any or all such requests.
9.2 If the Promoter has any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, or if it has any reason to believe that efforts have been made to distort the competitive process or spirit of the promotion, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude any entrant from participating in the promotion and refuse to award the prize or withdraw prize entitlement.
9.3 In the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of the Promoter, or otherwise where fraud, abuse, and/or an error affects or could affect the proper operation of this promotion or the awarding of the prize, and only where circumstances make this unavoidable, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the promotion or these Terms and Conditions, at any stage, but will always endeavour to minimise the effect to entrants in order to avoid undue disappointment.
9.4 If any act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions (including but not limited to global or regional health crises, weather conditions, fire, flood, strike, hurricane, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, epidemic, pandemic, famine, plague or other natural calamities and acts of God), the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligations but will always endeavour to minimise the effect to entrants in order to avoid undue disappointment.
9.5 The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries including but not limited to asking for proof of ID (passport, driving licence or equivalent) which the entrant must provide within 7 days of request.
9.6 The Promoter has no control over internet or communication networks and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The Promoter will not be held liable to any individual for any fraud committed by any third party nor for any event beyond its control including, but not limited to, user error and any network, computer, hardware or software failures of any kind which may restrict, delay or prevent sign-up to the newsletter.
9.7 Entries (bulk or otherwise) made from trade, syndicates, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted.
9.8. The decisions of the Promoter are final and binding in all matters relating to the promotion and no correspondence will be entered.
9.9 If any clause or provision of these Terms and Conditions is declared by a court to be illegal, invalid, or unenforceable, this declaration shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other clause or provision within.
9.10 The Terms and Conditions of this promotion, and any disputes arising therefrom, shall be subject to English law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales unless you live in another part of the UK, in which case your local courts will have jurisdiction.

4 ENTRY
4.1. To enter the competition, entrants must take and submit their photo in the Butcher’s photobooth at a DogFest event listed below. Entrants must agree to the terms and conditions and submit their first name, last name, email address and phone number.
After each DogFest event, all valid photos submitted will be judged by a panel of judges including Butcher’s brand team and one independent judge. Ten entries will be chosen by the judges to have their photo uploaded to Butcher’s Instagram account for Butcher’s followers to vote via a ‘like’ on their favourite photo. The photo with the most votes by the closing date at 12:00 on the Friday following each event will be a winner.
The event timeline and entry periods are as below:

4.2. Butcher’s Instagram followers must not inaccurately tag content or encourage other followers to inaccurately tag content when voting.
4.3. Maximum of one (1) entry per person, per DogFest event weekend. Maximum of one prize per person for the entirety of the promotion. Anyone found attempting to bypass this rule by, for example submitting multiple photos, will be disqualified. If you win one (1) prize, please do not continue to enter the promotion, as you will not be eligible to win any further prizes.
4.4. Entrants will be required to agree to and comply with any terms of conditions of entry to the event as communicated by the event partner. The event partner reserves the right to refuse entry at its sole discretion. By participating in the promotion, the entrants license and grant the promoter an exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable and sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish and display such content for any purpose in any media, without compensation, restriction on use, attribution or liability. Participants agree not to assert any moral rights in relation to such use where the moral rights in respect of the content are theirs to assert. Participants warrant that they have full authority to grant these rights.
4.5 Entrants who make an entry on someone else’s behalf will be disqualified, at the Promoter’s discretion.
5 THE PRIZES
5.1. 7 x Pet Care Prize Packages consisting of: a £50 Butcher’s Pet Care voucher to be redeemed instore across all participating Butcher’s retailers, and a £50 voucher towards a dog grooming or dog spa session.
The dog grooming or dog spa location will be chosen based on the closest proximity to the winner’s home address.
5.2. There are 7 x prizes available to be won in total, one per event.
5.3. The prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for any cash alternatives in whole or in part.
5.4. The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prizes, or part of the prizes, with alternative prizes of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control makes it necessary to do so.

6 WINNER SELECTION
6.1 Entries will be judged on the following criteria to select 10 photos from all valid photos uploaded at each event:
– Creativity
– Originality
– Fun
– Similarity between dog and owner if dressing up in props OR amusement of confession if doing confession booth
6.2 The top ten rated entries per event, will be uploaded to Butcher’s Instagram account with a unique number on the picture. Butcher’s followers can vote by commenting on the post, with the number on their favourite photo. The photo with the most votes by the closing date at 12:00 on the Friday following each event will be the winner.
6.3 Any abuse of the voting system, including vote-rigging or any kind of vote farming and automated votes, will result in disqualification of the entry. Voting will be strictly monitored by the Promoter and any attempts to manipulate or otherwise unfairly influence the results will result in disqualification of entry and votes.
6.4 Votes will be deemed invalid if they:
– Contain defamatory, malicious, indecent or other inappropriate content;
– In the reasonable opinion of the Promoter, cause any widespread or serious offence (taking into account prevailing community views or standards);
– Contains any content that is offensive or could reflect negatively on the name, reputation, or goodwill of the Promoter or any brand partner;
– Defame, misrepresent, or contain content for the intended purpose of harassing, threatening or embarrassing individuals or multiple individuals or insults other people or companies, including, but not limited to the Promoter (including its partners);
– Promotes any political, blasphemous or religious agenda or any content deemed to incite religious or racial hatred.
7 WINNER NOTIFICATION
7.1. All winners will receive a winning confirmation email (the “Winning Confirmation Email”), sent to the email address provided at the time of entry. It is the responsibility of entrants to check junk/spam folders to ensure they are in receipt of any communications. The Winning Confirmation Email will be sent the Friday following the event weekend after the close of voting at 12:00. If no reply is received within 14 days of the initial notification, their prize will be forfeit. The process will repeat for the second highest rated entry. If no reply is received, the process will repeat for the third highest rated entry after which the prize will be null and avoid.
7.2 Prizes will be delivered via email] within 28 days of valid prize claim and the completion of any verification process.

DogFest social competition – Butcher’s Superfans giveaway
The DogFest social competition on Butcher’s Superfan’s pages runs from 06.05.24 at 09.00 to 13.05.24 at 23.59. This competition is not in partnership with any other brand.
Entrants are required to comment on the competition post on Superfan’s Instagram post and tell us why they would love to attend DogFest, a bonus if you follow @butchersdogfood too. Entries are unlimited and you may enter as many times as you wish.
There will be 1 winner per Superfan post.
The winner will be picked at random and contacted by the Superfan on Instagram no later than Wednesday 15th May 2024.
The winners will need to provide their full name and contact information to fulfil the requirements. The winners have 28 days to respond and claim their prize. If they fail to do so within this time, Butcher’s reserves the right to withdraw the prize offer and award the prize to a reserve winner selected in the same manner.
Prizes are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged or traded for monetary value.
Butcher’s reserves the right to withdraw this offer at any time.

DogFest – May Newsletter Competition

You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction except that if you are a resident of Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are resident of Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.
If you are a business, these terms of use, their subject matter and their formation (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by English law. We both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
