We would like to share with you that IAPSO has selected three Best Practice Study Groups, one of which focuses on ‘Calibrating Measurements of Total Dissolved Inorganic Carbon in Seawater’. The main objectives of this Best Practice Study Group are to address the calibration strategies for commonly used instrumentation to measure total dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) in seawater, write clear and detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs), assess the reliability and consistency among calibration methods, and suggest technological and commercial solutions to facilitate their implementation.

This programme is jointly funded by the Partnership for Observation of the Global Ocean (POGO) and the Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research (SCOR). The deadline for applications is 30 April 2024 (23:59 CET).
Upcoming IOCCP Events
The IOCCP promotes the development of a global network of ocean carbon observations for research through technical coordination and communication services, international agreements on standards and methods, and advocacy and links to the global observing systems.
