How It Works:

Baldwin’s FilmCylinderCleaner™ system automatically cleans the cylinders used in the film extrusion process, by using a cloth-roll-based cleaning apparatus that spans the width of the extrusion web. This is paired with a precision spray system that also spans the width of the web, which precisely applies cleaning detergent to the cloth. Baldwin offers an array of cloths and detergents which are designed to ensure maximum performance for the specific needs of a variety of applications.

A touchscreen panel enables easy operation of the FilmCylinderCleaner™ system - various programmable cleaning modes, including continuous, periodical and manual-on-demand, are available to suit different needs. Cylinder cleaning can be conducted during production, without interrupting the film extrusion process, to help reduce production times while increasing product quality. Deep cleanings can be performed with the web out.

Each compact cleaning unit can be built for applications as wide as 3000mm - special solutions are available for larger widths, up to 6000mm. Systems can be installed on new or existing equipment - our engineers are experts at ensuring our systems work with your line.
